Who we are
ABIR Institute for Arbitration LLP is a limited liability partnership registered in Pune. Its work is arbitration administration: it runs the process of an arbitration for its clients, from the first notice to the final record, through the Nyaya Setu platform.
The institute administers. Independent arbitrators decide. The institute does not decide who is right in any case, and it handles no payments.
What the institute does
- Dispute resolution centre and panelsRuns dispute resolution centres with online facilities, keeps panels of neutral arbitrators, conciliators and mediators, and schedules and administers proceedings under institutional rules or the parties’ agreement.
- Arbitration, conciliation and mediation supportProvides the infrastructure, online and in person, for arbitration, conciliation and mediation, with case management, record keeping, procedural assistance, logistics and transcription for ad hoc and institutional proceedings.
- Secretarial and administrative supportOffice administration, record keeping, document management and process coordination for practitioners, firms, companies and financial institutions.
- Documentation supportAdministrative and secretarial support in compiling and formatting agreements, arbitration clauses and settlement documents, as a business support service.
- Training and collaborationTraining, certification programmes, workshops and seminars in arbitration, mediation and conciliation, research and publications, and work with other dispute resolution institutions.
How we work
- A person chooses each arbitrator, with a recorded basis and a written reason. Nothing is allocated or ranked automatically.
- Every arbitrator signs a disclosure of any conflict, and the parties can object to an appointment.
- Every notice is sent on several channels and its delivery is recorded, with a Proof of Service for each respondent.
- Every action is written to an append-only, hash-chained record.
- The institute and the platform never ask for, receive or transfer money.
