Our commitment
A respondent must be able to read a notice, open a case and reply, whatever device or ability they have. We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA as our target for the public pages and the respondent portal.
Nyaya Setu
What we do
- The respondent portal is designed for phones first, with plain wording.
- Pages work at phone width without sideways scrolling, and text can be enlarged.
- The portal is available in English, Hindi and Marathi, and you can switch language on any screen.
- Every form field has a visible label, and keyboard focus is visible.
- The public pages are plain HTML that works without JavaScript.
- A respondent who cannot use the portal can ask for a call-back from the case team, or for assisted entry of a reply.
Known limits
- The staff screens and the video hearing room are not yet fully tested with screen readers. Live video depends on a third-party component.
- The staff screens are in English.
- Notices and awards are generated as PDF files, and we have not audited them for assistive tools. If a document is hard to read, ask for another form.
Ask for another form or report a barrier
Write to hello@abirnyayasetu.com with the page or document and what stopped you. We can send a document in another form, read it to you on a call, or help you file through assisted entry. We will reply as soon as we can. For a formal complaint use the grievance page.
